Police seeking thief posing as repairman

CORDELE, GA (WALB) -

Cordele Police are still on the lookout for a man wanted for multiple thefts around the state.

Antonio Hornsby, known as the office creeper, has been caught on camera stealing money while posing as a repair man.

He is accused of going through employees' purses and wallets once he gains access to buildings. Cordele Police say he hit Zaxby's and Denny's there this week.

"Just for businesses to be aware of someone posing as a repair man," said Det. Andrew Roufs, Cordele Police Department. "Of course there are repair men that are doing their jobs. Typically they even have a logoed shirt like even police do. Um...most companies do. He doesn't have those, or we haven't seen that. He's just wearing like a button up shirt."

Police said Hornsby has a history of violence. They also said he has stolen a car and small sums of money across the state since he was released from prison in early January.

He was last seen driving a tan '94 Buick Regal with Illinois tags, license plate: 566434RT. Police said Hornsby has also used Georgia license plate GA803I for the car.
