ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Albany Firefighters put on costumes and showed off their best dance moves to teach fire prevention lessons.

Those Harlem Shake videos are the rage on you tube. So Albany Firefighters decided to make one.

Their version is full of fire prevention and safety messages.

About two dozen firefighters took part in the Harlem Shake video shoot, hoping their message will be seen by children across the world. "Reflect on us and also get the message as well. As of what to do if there is a fire in their house or what to do if there is an emergency point blank," said Former Firefighter Bernadette Wilson.

"They are just messages, messages that are powerful. If you can send a powerful message to a child, it's inspirational and it's very motivational," said Firefighter Antoine Hunt.

Albany Firefighters say getting a child's attention with their fire safety message could save that child's life one day.
