Information from the Dougherty Co. School System

On March 15, the Albany High School Symphonic Band participated in the District 2 Large Group Performance Ensemble in Cairo.

The band, under the direction of Trevor Baxter, earned a Superior rating from all three judges as well as a Superior rating from the sight reading judge.

The Albany High band performed a level 5/6 program, an advanced choice, from a list provided by the Georgia Music Educators Association.

The Albany High band has earned all Superior ratings at each judged event this year.
