An Albany mother delivers a tough love lesson to her 16 year old son, saying she wants to make sure he never ends up dead in the streets.
Monroe High Freshman Kristopher James was walking the sidewalks at South Madison and West Oakridge Thursday afternoon, wearing a placard that said "honk for the class clown." His mother, Kristin Davenport, made her son walk with the sign as punishment after was suspended from school for two days for his bad behavior.
"He's been cutting up in school, and I've lost all control," said Kristin Davenport. "I've lost all control. I've lost all control. So I really just want him to not end up in the streets dead, on drugs, or in jail."
His mother said James has been cutting up in class trying to impress the wrong crowd of boys, and was suspended for two days. She says she hopes this lesson will motivate him to apply himself.
