MOULTRIE, GA. --  Organizers of the 2013 Community Career Resource Fair hope the event will be a catalyst in transitioning local job hunters into members of a viable workforce.

Moultrie Technical College's (MTC) Veterans Parkway Campus Conference Center hosted the  Community Career Resource Fair.

Moultrie Tech and the Moultrie office of the Georgia Department of Labor joined forces to present the event to familiarize the businesses and industries in our region and job hunters with one another.

Job seekers benefited from learning about local companies and what skills they would expect their employees to possess.

"Moultrie Technical College's spring semester ends May 2; therefore, businesses and industries will have the opportunity to meet the College's graduating class as well as upcoming summer semester graduates. If an employer finds a good fit for an employment need, our well-trained, educated graduates will be ready to start work within a few weeks of the career fair," says Erica Stallings, MTC Student Affairs Coordinator.

Among the employers at the fair were Albany Police Department, Albany Recruitment Center, Berrien County Board of Education, Colson Printing, Vocational Rehabilitation, Equity Group Georgia Division, US Air Force, Lowe's, Telamon Corporation, Labor Finders, US Army, Southwest Georgia Community Action Council, Lowndes 911, New Hire Solutions, Woodmen of the World, Keystone Foods, Lemongrass Day Span, Lil Geekshop, Pointe Wiregrass, Sanderson Farms, Southern Care Hospice, and Walgreens.
