The Monroe Lady Tornadoes have blown away all comers on the track over the last four years.
Monroe is coming off the team's fourth straight state championship, but that team's superstar Mimieux Land, is now sprinting for the Clemson Tigers.
Now they're trying to do it again, but with a slightly new, much younger cast.
This year's squad is packed with freshmen and sophomores, but Head Coach LaToyia Johnson says the talent is there, and when this team gains experience, they will be a force like past teams.
"With the young kids we have, the only thing that makes them somewhat separate is the age versus the talent," she says. "Once the talent and age becomes parallel to each other and they come together, they'll have those things being cohesive."
Monroe will be one of over 20 teams competing at Saturday's L.C. Smith/Winfred Benson Relays at Hugh Mills Stadium.
