A wanted Albany woman, who has been on the run for nearly seven months, has been captured.
46 year-old Connie Justice was taken into custody in Brunswick Wednesday afternoon.
In June, Justice and her sister, 48 year old Carrie Franklin, were convicted for lying to court officials and maliciously having her mother, Jean Sancken, committed to Phoebe Putney hospital's mental facility.
Her sister was sentenced to two years in prison, but Justice never showed at court for her sentencing.
"We did not charge her with an additional escape charge. She was literally out on bond and the court allowed her to be out on bond until sentencing and what she did was she failed to return to court to be sentenced," said District Attorney Greg Edwards.
Officials put her on the most wanted list, but were able to find her with a new technique their office is using, but he wouldn't go into details.
Judge Denise Marshall is hearing the case and can choose to charge her with contempt of court. Justice is currently in the Glynn County jail, but she will be brought back to Dougherty County.
