SYLVESTER, GA (WALB) -

A Worth County man was severely injured in a one car wreck just before 4:00 this afternoon.

We don't yet know the man's name, but he was airlifted for treatment to Macon, with critical injuries.

Sources say it was a single car accident, but the car was so badly damaged that it is hard to identify.

Worth Co. Sheriff Jeff Hobby said that it appeared the man was going too fast, lost control of the car, and was ejected.

He landed in the ditch near the demolished car just west of Sylvester.

The Georgia State Patrol is working the wreck, and we will have more information when possible.
