While Ryan was growing up, his family had a habit of moving frequently. This allowed him to live in the Northeast, the Midwest, and finally, the Southeast. This gave him the opportunity to experience all aspects of weather including: the winter storm of 1993, Hurricane Katrina, and the Super Tuesday tornado outbreak.
Ryan expanded his education into the field and became a storm chaser. He has chased in almost all of the major severe weather outbreaks in the past three years including: April 27th 2011, April 15th 2011 and April 14th 2012. During the countless hours of storm chasing, Ryan has seen over fifteen tornadoes.
Ryan has one sister who is pursuing her career as a music teacher in Illinois.
When he is not keeping a close eye on the weather, Ryan enjoys the great outdoors.
His hobbies are: baseball, golfing, grilling, fishing, and working-out.
