ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Some folks in an east Albany neighborhood are scared to come out of their homes because of bees.

People on Malone Avenue say a big hive seemed to form out of nowhere in a tree. They're worried because it's right next to a school bus stop.

Master beekeeper Dale Richter has some advice if you see something similar near your home. "Stay away from them and then call someone that can come take care of them such as myself or Emergency Management which will normally direct to me. But the main thing is just to stay away from them. These bees are relatively calm because they're just searching for a place to go," he said.

Richter did a little prep work on the tree Monday night and plans to go back Tuesday morning and get rid of the bees.
