TYLER, TX (KLTV) -

From the Smith County Sheriff's Office:

At 7:10pm, deputies from the Smith County Sheriff's Office responded to a caller reporting a disturbance in the 15000 block of CR 2223 between a father and son over the son's alleged refusal to leave the father's property.

The father allegedly fired warning shots to scare the son off the property, with one of the shots reportedly ricocheting and hitting the son in the foot.

The son drove himself to the ETMC clinic on S. Broadway in Tyler to seek medical attention.

The case is still under investigation.
