TYLER, TX -- Today at approximately 4pm, Natalio Gurrusquieta, DOB 6.27.40, was arrested by Smith County Detectives, Smith County Patrol Deputies and agents of U.S. Homeland Security Investigations. Gurrusquieta was taken into custody without incident in the 600 block of East Queen Street in Tyler.

An arrest warrant for Gurrusquieta was issued earlier today by 241st State District Court Judge Jack Skeen, Jr., charging Gurrusquieta with murder.

After his arrest, Gurrusquieta was booked in to the Smith County Jail. Bond has been set at $1,000,000.00.

This arrest was the result of a June 3, 2012 shooting, which claimed the life of Jose Alfredo Sanchez. The homicide took place at a private residence on County Road 37 in northern Smith County. Two other individuals suffered gunshot wounds during this incident, including Gurrusquieta.
