LORAIN COUNTY, OH (Toledo News Now) -

An Ohio man faces felony charges after Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers stopped his car and found nearly 450 grams of marijuana during a traffic stop on the Ohio Turnpike Sunday afternoon.

Troopers stopped a 2008 Dodge Charger with Ohio registration for failing to display a front license plate violation on the Ohio Turnpike eastbound near milepost 142 in Lorain County at 2:34 p.m. Upon approaching the vehicle, troopers detected an odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle.

A probable cause search revealed three gallon-size bags containing approximately 447 grams of marijuana. The contraband has a street value of $4,470.

The driver, Jerald Bernard Robinson II, 21, of Canton, was incarcerated in the Lorain County Jail. He has been charged with drug possession, a fifth-degree felony, along with trafficking in drugs, a fourth-degree felony.
