Albany woman remembered at Memorial

ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Friends and family of 29 year-old Tiffany Porter say she was a woman who always wore a smile on her face.

"She was always around. She was at all our events. She was the smiling face. Seems like she was always there," said Pastor Tim Bice.

She just left her job at a vascular clinic in Albany and was starting a new job in Nashville, when her life tragically ended. Tiffany and four others died last month when their small jet hit a concrete utility pole and crashed after an aborted landing near the Thomas-McDuffie Airport.

Her family drove 5 hours from Eutaw, Alabama to celebrate the life of Tiffany with her friends here in Albany.

Tiffany's Pastor at Greenbrier Church, says his congregation is taking the news well. He says they realize things like this happen and they're leaning on God during this time of bereavement.

"It's devastating and we mourn and grieve, but we also realize to live as Christ and die is gain for the believer. So yes, mourning and grief went on inside, not only me but also our people. We also realize that God's grace has much more in store for us than life here on earth," said Bice

Friends and Family came out to honor Tiffany and talked about what a great spirit she had.

"Tiffany was a girl who was not afraid to let her faith shine for everybody to see. She loved her church, she loved inviting people and sharing her faith. She was just a powerful witness," said Bice.

Members say she touched the hearts of everyone she met in her short life.

"She just walked up to me and was like "Hi, I'm Tiffany and I just want to let you know I get goose bumps and cry every time I hear you sing." I was like 'Oh My Gosh, we need to be friends.' She made me feel really good," said Erica Sims.

Sims sung Tiffany's favorite song "I Stand Amazed" at the memorial service.

They say Tiffany is best remembered as someone that loved to invite people to her church, was very giving and had a servants heart.
