ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
Albany Police have confirmed that two people are dead after a shooting in South Albany.
Officials say around 9:45 Sunday night, three men were outside a home off Willard Avenue when a gunman drove past and opened fire.
20-year-olds William Lamont Davis Jr. and Desmond Treon Williams were shot and killed. They were were standing outside a gray Crown Victoria at 514 Willard Avenue when the shots were fired.
A third person, 22-year-old Nicholas Wright, was sitting inside that same vehicle but was able to dodge the bullets and get away unharmed.
Police are now looking for the gunmen who drove away in an unknown vehicle.
"At this point, we have called out every personnel that we have available to assist us. The gang unit is on the scene to assist as we continue to gather information," says Phyllis Banks with the Albany Police Department.
Police aren't releasing any information about possible suspects or a motive at this time.
