TIFTON, GA (WALB) -

A Tifton teen is confessing to lying to cops about three men abducting him at gunpoint.

The 16-year-old juvenile told cops his was abducted by three men as he was walking on 13th street in Tifton

The teen originally said he escaped from the men and ran to a local convenience store.

After a further investigation, detectives say there were inconsistencies in his stories and the teen eventually confessed he lied.

He snuck out of his home and didn't want his parents to find out.

The teen will not be charged with any crime.
