ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany man is recovering at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, Saturday, after being stabbed late Friday night.

Albany cops found Timothy Davis lying on the ground with a large laceration to his abdomen in the 100 block of Marie Road.

Davis told Officers that he was fighting someone and they cut him.

Witnesses at the scene named 36-year-old Carlos Sherman as a possible suspect.

Sherman was arrested at the scene and taken to the Law Enforcement Center for further questioning. No charges have been filed at this time.

Davis is listed in good condition.
