ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Families got a unique cultural experience at the Albany Municipal Auditorium Friday night.

The Albany Symphony Orchestra held a family concert called "the Orchestra Rocks." Before the performance, kids enjoyed an instrument petting zoo. They got to hold orchestra instruments and even had a chance to try to play them.

One mom told us it was a lot of fun for her and her son. Nakoasha Dillard said, "He loves music and everything. He really enjoys the drums, so that was his best part about it. I like community events like this. I think it's a good thing for the community of Albany, and I would love to come again."

Parents were encouraged to bring their children to learn about rhythm and see just how fun orchestra music can be.

They symphony's final performance of this season will be April 13th.
