Suspected repeat meth cooker is back in jail

THOMAS COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

A suspected repeat meth cooker is back in jail after being caught with an active meth lab.

Thomas County Narcotics Agents got a tip that 44-year old Scott Singletary was cooking meth at a mobile home on Patten-Coolidge Road.

He was out on bond for a previous meth charge.

When agents arrived at the house, Singletary threw down three cellophane wrappers containing meth.

Agents also found a burn pile with meth components and an active meth lab in the woods behind the home.

"It's very volatile. There is a high probability of starting a fire. There are a lot of combustible and flammable materials inside so yea it's very dangerous. It could have caught the woods on fire and not only that, but it could have burnt the ones cooking also," said Narcotics Commander Kevin Lee.

Singletary is charged with manufacturing meth and meth possession with intent to distribute.
