Albany police are looking to question a suspected car burglar who may have ties to a woman caught using a stolen debit card. Police have connected the two in WALB's most wanted.
Surveillance cameras capture a woman one wearing the yellow shirt getting money from an ATM at a Flash Foods, but the card she's using doesn't belong to her.
"For some reason this female was able to obtain it and get money from the ATM," Said Albany Police Media Manager Phyllis Banks. A few hours later, a woman called APD reporting her car had been broken into in the 900 block of West Residence. The debit card was missing.
"We're not only looking to identify the female that's in the yellow shirt. We're also looking for the suspect in this particular case," said Banks.
That would be Fredrick Abdullah. He's believed to be behind the car break-in that netted the debit card which somehow landed in this woman's hands. "We believe they may be connected in some way, we're just not sure what their connection is at this point," said Banks.
But the lady in yellow might find it in her best interest to identify herself to police before someone else does. "It is important that we get her in initially. She might be able to offer us some information about the suspect. It would be good if someone could identify her so we can have a conversation."
As for Abdullah he's wanted on a probation violation. He's 5'8 130 pounds and has gold teeth.
The lady in yellow and Fredrick Abdullah become two of WALB's Most Wanted.
