CORDELE, GA (WALB) -

A Cordele man is recovering Tuesday night in a Macon hospital after being shot twice.

Police say several men ambushed him late Saturday night in the game room where he works.

The doors remain closed at the Game Room on 11th Street in Cordele after an employee, 49-year-old Bobby Fenn, was approached by a group of men while closing the business.

"Three black males came into his business. They were all masked and just came in shooting. Never said a word, just came in shooting," said Cordele Police Detective Ketorie Sales.

Fenn was shot in the chest and foot.

He remains in fair condition at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.

"I really couldn't believe it to happen to a person like that," said Next door business owner Lonnie Cuffie.

Cuffie rushed to the aid of Fenn after he was alerted that gunshots were fired and waited with the wounded man until paramedics arrived.

"I went to look inside to see Mr. Fenn, I saw that he was injured, but he managed to crawl to the front to unlock it. When he unlocked the door that's when I really saw the gunshot wound," said Cuffie.

He's says he's thankful Fenn is still alive because the outcome could have been much different.

"It's just a miracle that it's not as worse. It's bad enough, but it could have been worse," said Cuffie.

The search continues for those men.

Investigators don't have good descriptions of those three men.

If you have any helpful information, Cordele Police want you to call them.
