ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

High school juniors and seniors in Albany and the southwest Georgia area who have not yet decided where to attend college can learn what Georgia Southern University has to offer during a Spring Preview presentation on this evening at the Westover High School Auditorium at 6:00.

During the information session, counselors will go over admissions requirements, review majors and discuss housing options so students can decide whether Georgia Southern is the place they want to be. The formal presentation begins at 6 p.m. and will last around 45 minutes. Representatives from the Office of Admissions will be there to answer questions in a one-on-one setting with students and their parents.

"Admissions counselors will give a broad overview of Georgia Southern that serves as a great introduction to campus and our student-centered approach," said Amy Smith, associate director for admissions. "These spring previews are a great opportunity for high school juniors to start their college search process early. We also welcome seniors who are trying to make a final decision or may still be searching for the right college fit."

Reservations are encouraged and can be made by calling (912) 478-5851 or register online. Walk-ins may join the presentation, too. The Georgia Southern Spring Preview is not recommended for students who have already been accepted to the University.

Georgia Southern University, a Carnegie Doctoral/Research University founded in 1906, offers more than 120 degree programs serving more than 20,500 students. Through eight colleges, the University offers bachelor's, master's and doctoral degree programs built on more than a century of academic achievement.
