ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
As the Albany gun show wrapped Sunday evening, we spoke to the event organizer about a recent bill passed by the Georgia House of Representative that would allow guns in places such as college campuses and churches.
The gun show was held at the Hasan Temple.
We talked to promoter Larry Steverson about House bill 512, which would allow guns in places of worship, college campuses and allows school boards to arm administrators.
Steverson supports the proposed bill.
"Just look at the shootings that have been at schools and college campuses and the theater in Colorado recently. If there had been just one or two persons that were carrying at the time, those mass killings and mass shootings could have been stopped," said Steverson.
The House passed the bill on Thursday by a vote of 117 to 56. It now heads for senate approval.
