It's time for Spring planting

LEESBURG, GA (WALB) -

We're finally expecting a weekend with great weather.

It's a good time to start working in your yard, but there's no reason to rush your spring planting.

Lawn Barber Nursery owner Steve Collins says it's fine to go ahead and plant geraniums, ferns and some perennials.

But he says you still have a couple of months to get all your plants in the ground and you don't want to do it all too early.

"It always seems like right before Easter, we have that little cold snap. So a lot of people be cautious right now," said Steve Collins.

Collins has been busy the past two days with customers prepping their flower beds with mulch and compost and he expects a busy weekend.
