COPENHAGEN, Denmark, March 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Georg Jensen today announced it has named David Chu Chief Executive Officer of Georg Jensen, the Danish based luxury silver, jewelry and watch design company and global retailer.

Previously, Mr. Chu served as Co-Chair of the Board of Directors as well as Chief Creative Officer of Georg Jensen. He will continue to serve as a board member as well as the Chief Creative Officer of the company overseeing the design direction and strategy for all products.

Mr. Chu commented: "It is an honor to lead this company. I have great respect for its more than 100 year long tradition of excellence in design and craftsmanship and look forward to creating new collaborations with designers and artists. Mr. Chu founded Nautica, the global lifestyle and clothing brand, in 1983.
