ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Two world famous athletes from Albany now have streets named after them.

Phoebe Putney Hospital unveiled Ray Knight Way and Nancy Lopez Lane on Phoebe Property off Meredyth Drive Thursday afternoon

The two were married for 28 years. Knight is an Albany native who is a former MLB All Star and World Series MVP. Lopez is a Hall of Fame Golfer with 52 professional wins.

They say they're humbled by today's honor. Knight said, "I just feel a part of the community, and I don't feel special, but today I feel special. It's a great honor to look up and see your name on a sign."

Lopez said, "It's just very special. You never really think about that happening to you. It's very humbling to say there's a street named after me."

Knight and Lopez also said it was special that they were honored together.
