CAIRO, GA (WALB) -

A south Georgia Boys and Girls club is dedicating their center to a legendary baseball player.

The Grady County Club is reintroducing itself next weekend as the Jackie Robinson Boys and Girls Club of Grady County.

The club is not only changing its name but is also building a new youth baseball field in the Cairo native's memory.

Next weekend's two-day event begins with a tribute dinner featuring celebrity guests.

"In attendance for the dinner will be his daughter Sharon Robinson, Evander Holyfield who was the former Cruiser and Heavyweight Champion of the world, Cairo and Albany's own Bill Stanfill, Willy C. Harris, Teresa Edwards, five time Olympic medalist, " said Board Member Charles Renaud.
