Twin Capital Management LLC, a New York-based event-driven hedge fund firm, has appointed Mitchell Schwartz as vice president and analyst. In his new post with Twin Capital, Mr. Schwartz will seek unique investment opportunities in special situations and deep value.

“Mitchell’s experience complements our team and adds to the depth and breadth of our analysis and reach,” said David Simon, Twin Capital’s founder and CEO. “Over the past year, we have strategically grown our business and we are continuing on a healthy trajectory.”

Before joining Twin Capital, Mr. Schwartz served as an associate with Apollo Management where he analyzed investments in distressed and special situations across equity and credit securities. Previously, Mr. Schwartz served as an associate with Stone Tower Capital in both the special situations investing group and the private equity group. He also served as an analyst in both the mergers & acquisitions and the media & telecommunications investment banking groups at Citigroup.

Mr. Schwartz graduated summa cum laude and Valedictorian from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He received a Master in Business Administration from Harvard Business School and received the Baker Scholar designation, given to the top 5 percent of his graduating MBA class.
