ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany man is indicted for aggravated assault after a little girl drank a contaminated drink.

Prosecutors say he was trying to poison his girlfriend.

They say in February 2011 37-year old Farmata Tift poured ammonia in a power aid bottle and left it for his girlfriend Latricia Campbell to drink.

Instead a child drank it.

The girl did not suffer any injuries from the ammonia, but Wednesday the grand jury indicted Tift for trying to cause serious bodily harm.
