THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -
One south Georgia public library is celebrating women's history month with "Rosie the Riveter."
On Tuesday, The Thomas County Public Library will be showing videos and displaying mementos from World War Two.
There will also be a presentation from former "Rosie" and current Thomasville resident Caroline Sipp.
"If women hadn't kicked in and helped during World War II while all the men were overseas in combat, things would have fallen apart in the United States. Women went into the factories, and the farms, and the fields," said Library Circulation Manager Alicia Atherton.
The presentation begins at 5 p.m. Tuesday in the Flipper Room of the library.
