ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Albany YMCA celebrated 103 years of serving the Good Life City, Tuesday.

The Y held its annual dinner at Merry Acres Conference center, highlighting the last year's achievements and honoring volunteers and staff.

Y leaders say they'll keep working to improve the community and the lives of their members.

"I think it's important for organizations like the YMCA to reach out to the community to find out exactly what needs there are to be met and then work hard not only within our own organization, but with other organizations to help meet those needs," said Albany YMCA Executive Director David Wallace.

Marine Corps Logistics Base Albany Commander Colonel Donald Davis was the Keynote speaker at Tuesday's event.
