Looking to quit smoking? The Georgia Department of Public Health is offering free nicotine replacement to smokers.
The South Health District in Valdosta is part of the pilot program. Participants must be at least 18-years-old and uninsured. And they can choose a 4-week supply of the nicotine patch or nicotine gum.
"If you look at it over a period of time it is cheaper if you can go ahead and do the products once and they're successful, you know, versus smoking or using another type of tobacco product the rest of your life," said Courtney Sheeley, South Health District.
