Organizers of Albany's Mardi Gras Street Festival say the weekend event lost money and they'll have to work hard to find a way to pay to bring the festival back downtown next year.
Cold weather kept people away.
Organizer Phil Cannon tells us only 5,000 to 7,000 people showed up Saturday.
They were hoping for about 40,000 visitors.
They're not sure yet how much money was lost, but organizers say they definitely spent more money to put on the festival than they brought it.
Cannon says they're now discussing ways to finance next year's street festival and he's optimistic they will come up with the money.
