Robber quickly caught by victim, citizens

THOMASVILLE, GA (WALB) -

 The Thomasville Police Department says that an employee of Harper's Seafood was robbed by a former employee.

They say that Terrence Golden Jr., 23, went into the store as it was closing on Friday, and shoved 52-year-old Billy Wright against a newspaper rack. He then stole a money bag and ran away.

Police say Wright and Gregory Carter, who was working nearby, ran after Golden, and caught him in some woods near Campbell St.

Police soon arrived and took Golden into custody, and charged him with Strong Armed Robbery of a Business.

The Thomasville Police Department released this information-

On Friday, March 1, 2013, Officers responded to Harper's Seafood in reference to a robbery.

Upon arrival, officers spoke with an employee at the business, who stated that he was closing the business and as he was attempting to lock the front door,  a male he knows as a former employee approached him and push him against a news paper rack in front of the business.

The suspect identified as Terrence Golden Jr.  then snatched two money bags from the victim and ran from the area.

The victim a lone with other citizens gave chase and one citizen who was washing his car at a next door car wash was able to subdue the suspect in a wooded area off of Campbell St.

Terrance Golden Jr. is in Jail charged with Strong Robbery of A Business.
