TURNER CO., GA (WALB) -
A Turner County woman has been arrested and charged with her husband's murder.

Andy Hester, the Turner County Sheriff, says deputies got a call around 7:40pm Friday night from a woman who said a man had been shot.

When they arrived at the home on Highway 32 East deputies found 62 year-old Morris B. Pilkinton, Jr., who was dead from a gunshot wound to the head.

Pilkinton's wife, Debra, was taken into custody and is currently in the Turner County jail.

She is charged with felony murder and possession of firearm or knife, while trying to commit crimes.

GBI is assisting with case.  Morris Pilkinton's body will be sent to the crime lab in Macon on Monday for an autopsy.
