ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

An Albany woman is dedicating her time to conquering a 100 mile bike ride. Melinda Greenfield says, she's been preparing for a century bike run for quite a while. 

Once biking season begins, she'll grab her helmet and hit the course. Greenfield trains year around for triathlons, but this year she decided to focus on completing in the 100 mile bike ride.

"They aren't really races they're just a ride, its not like your trying to beat a particular time or anything like that, it's more about completing the miles," said Century ride hopeful Melinda Greenfield.

She's hasn't decided which race she's going to compete in yet.

Scarlette M Wimberly She did not think her brother, Airman 1st Class Jason Florence, would make it to her graduation. He's been stationed in Alaska for more than two years.
