ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Runners also had the chance to buy everything from shoes to shirts to jewelry at a race expo on the Friday before the event.  Some Albany vendors took advantage of the opportunity to sell to customers they usually wouldn't reach.

"There has been a really a good reaction, lots of people have stopped by and they love our jewelry.  We are excited to have new customers that we've never had before," said Kristen Champion one of the owners of a jewelry store in Albany.

Those vendors say they plan to come back each year for the race, as their store continues to grow.
