In her current role, Dr. Spanier works with patients on a variety of Mental Health issues including Traumatic Stress and Health Trauma. In addition, Dr. Spanier is an avid public speaker and specialist in the practice of Cognitive Therapy.

Furthermore, Dr. Spanier is a published author and contributed to the book, Psychotherapy Indications and Outcomes written by David Janowsky as well as the article, The Relationship Between Tamoxifen, Estrogen, and Depressive Symptoms. Dr. Spanier was also the head of the research team who produced the scholarly article, Maintenance Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Recurrent Depression: Biological and Clinical Correlates and Future Directions.

Dr. Spanier earned her Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. She also holds a M.S. in Communication Disorders and a B.S. in Communication from Marquette University.
