ALBANY, GA (WALB) -
No bond is set for an Albany woman accused of stealing thousands of dollars from an elderly woman she took care of.
After months avoiding capture Patricia Glenn is in jail on 31 counts of financial transaction fraud.
Surveillance video from Harvey's Supermarket on Sylvester Road shows Patricia Glenn using a debit card to withdraw money.
Dougherty County Police say that money came from someone else's bank account. Glenn is accused of stealing more than $7,500 from the account of 86-year-old Viola Prather. Glenn was her caregiver.
Police have surveillance video from four locations that shows Glenn using Mrs. Prather's card without her permission.
Dougherty County Police Sgt. Chad Kirkpatrick said, "We have video surveillance where the victim was not with her, and there are multiple transactions with like this one specific day. Also where she would the ATM card."
Mrs. Prather's family reported the theft in October. By the time warrants were taken on Glenn, she'd disappeared.
She surrendered herself at the jail on Monday.
Patricia Glenn is charged with 31 counts of financial transaction fraud and four counts of abuse and exploitation of a disabled person.
