EMA officials pickup water from Second Harvest

Some South Georgia emergency management officials are taking advantage of free drinking water from Second Harvest Food Bank.

Officials from Baker and Mitchell counties picked up pallets of drinking water, Tuesday.

The food bank set aside 3,300 gallons of water to help out with flood relief.

"We don't want folks drinking contaminated water. Of course you can boil your water to make sure it's safe, but we have this water available and we'd love to get it out to the community that are desperately needing clean drinking water or cooking water," said Branch Director Jim Case.

Second Harvest officials encourage county emergency managers to contact them if they need drinking water in their area.
