ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Unattended children will not be allowed into the festival area at this year's Mardi Gras Street Festival in downtown Albany. That's partially in response to fights started by unaccompanied teenagers at last summer's July 4th celebration.

The location of the festival is also moving to the 100 blocks of Front Street and Pine Avenue.

Entrances will be located at West Broad Avenue, North Washington Street, and the alley across from the Welcome Center.

This year's festival also starts earlier. Activities begin at 10 a.m. and run until midnight.

The entrance fee will be $5 for anyone 13 and older and $2 for children ages 3 - 12.
