The wind is picking up along with rain.
That's a combination that makes driving in the dark dangerous.
We've gotten nearly 2-inches of rain in Albany, Monday, and about 15 so far this month.
That's more than 3-times the normal amount for all of February.
Emergency Management officials are urging you to stay off the roads tonight if possible.
Be extra careful if you do have to drive, especially on rural and dirt roads.
"You can't see sometimes and the road is actually covered with water and you don't know if that road was washed out. If you try driving across it you may become a casualty, so we ask you not to drown and go around. If you don't need to be out on the streets, then don't be out on the streets," said Dougherty County EMA Director Jim Vaught.
With saturated ground and high winds expected overnight, you also need to be aware of the potential of falling trees.
