Donations needed for Worth Co. volunteers

Posted: Updated:
WORTH CO., GA (WALB) -

The Worth County Public Works Department is asking for donations to help volunteers who are working tirelessly to assist those with flooding problems.

They're asking for laundry detergent, dish washing liquid, cups, plates, paper towels and toilet paper.

"Even though they may be experiencing the same flooding that our families are experiencing, they have to put their family life on hold so they can come out and give back to their community.  And a way to give back to them is feeding them supper, or bringing donations of any kind," said Nigel Poole, the Flint River Chapter Emergency Services Program Manager.

You can drop those items off at the Worth County fire station at 203 E Willingham Street in Sylvester.
