ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

Gang charges are dismissed against all six defendants in the Brick House Productions murder trial in Albany.

Judge Denise Marshall issued a directed verdict Monday afternoon, saying that while the men may have been East Side Mafia gang members, the killing of LaShelton Stanford was not a planned gang event.

Prosecutors say Stanford was beaten and shot outside Brick House Productions on Schilling Avenue in February 2010.

All six men are still charged with murder and aggravated assault, as the trial moves into it's third week.

Prosecutors say Shenard Smith is the triggerman who shot Stanford 7 times.
