The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a flood advisory for the Kinchafoonee Creek.
NWS Statement:
The Kinchafoonee Creek at Pinewood Road is expected to reach flood stage of 13 feet Sunday night.
It is expected to crest at Pinewood Road, in Lee County, at 17.3 feet at 12pm on Thursday, February 28th.
Current observed creek level reading as of 12:15pm Sunday, February 24th is 11.14 feet.
Minor flood stage is 13.0 feet. Moderate flood stage is 16.0 feet. Major flood stage is 20.5 feet.
The Lee County Emergency Management Agency still continues to encourage all persons with interest along the Kinchafoonee Creek in Lee County to remain vigilant and continue monitoring the situation on the creek.
