Albany city leaders hold 'gun in schools' debate

City leaders, pastors, and law enforcement officers met in East Albany to talk about guns in schools and churches.

Several members of the community gathered at the East Albany Community Center for the meeting, hosted by Albany Commissioner Jon Howard.

Concerned citizens got the chance to voice their opinions about proposed House Bill 35. If passed, the new law would allow law enforcement officials to carry firearms on school property.

Dougherty County School Police Chief Troy Conley is also addressing the group.
