ALBANY, GA (WALB) -

The Riverquarium has a new resident.

A baby Coral Cat Shark hatched overnight and is the newest addition to the attraction.

Riverquarium officials say this is the first of several of these Indo-Pacific native sharks the aquarium will see this year.

"He'll be growing up here and we'll have two more that are probably going to hatch out sometime this month and now you can watch grow for the next four to five months," said Daniel Churchman.

This shark species can live up to 30 years.

Flint Riverquarium officials encourage you to come see the new addition to the family.
