THOMAS COUNTY, GA (WALB) -

You can test your strength, speed, and endurance for a good cause this weekend in Thomas County.

Former NFL player and athletic trainer Danny Copeland is hosting the Next Level Challenge 5K obstacle course and mud run.

All of the proceeds from the run benefit Justin Stevens and his premature baby.

"One of our trainers has a premature baby and they've been going through a lot of different things with her having multiple hospitalizations and so forth. A lot of travel back and forth to Augusta, Athens, and Atlanta to get care for her and we just saw it as a good way to outreach," said Copeland.

The event will be held in the field across from the Sugar Mill RV Park on US 19.

Registration is open till 8:30 Saturday morning.

The race begins at 9.
