Lee County emergency officials are also watching for potential creek flooding. But right now they say the threat looks minor.
The Kinchafoonee Creek is at 6-feet now, the same as before last week's big rain. The creek crested at 12' 7", three inches below flood stage.
EMA Director James Howell says because the ground is now saturated, creek levels could rise fairly quickly.
"I don't think this time there is going to be any fear of it getting into any homes. We certainly anticipate if we do get the rain that's called for, we'll get some minor road closures."
Lee County officials urge South Georgians to prepare an emergency kit and stay informed about creek levels.
