VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) -

More than 200 south Georgia business owners got some tips today from experts on how to prosper in their businesses.

Wiregrass Technical College in Valdosta held its 7th annual Gathering Of Eagles conference.

Successful business owners told their stories to guests.

The President of Herschend Family Entertainment, the company that owns Wild Adventures Theme Park, was the keynote speaker.

Joel Manby talked about his best-selling book, "Love Works" and his approach to leadership.

"They'll walk away here with very specific tips on how to love their employees and get the best out of them, and then create a more successful business. Herschend Entertainment is very successful financially and we've done a very good job in the industry," said Manby.

Tickets to the event were $200. The proceeds will go to Wiregrass's Scholarship Fund.
